ClayTrack replaces the paper scorecard and clipboard with a free, paperless scorekeeper for trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Here's how it works, start to finish — from creating an account to tracking your scores over a whole season.

1. Create a free account

Sign up with your email — no credit card, nothing to download. ClayTrack runs in any browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. Pick a unique @username and you're ready to shoot.

2. Save your facility and ranges (optional)

Add the clubs and ranges you shoot, with their courses and station counts. Then, when you start a round, your scorecard already matches the field you're on — the right number of stations, ready to go. You can also just type a venue name and skip this step.

3. Start a round

Pick your discipline — American Trap, Wobble Trap, ATA Handicap, ATA Doubles, Bunker Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, or Five Stand — choose a facility or course, and add your squad — friends and guests alike. Guests don't need an account; just add them by name.

ClayTrack's Log a Round screen on a phone — American Trap chosen as the discipline at Ben Avery, Phoenix on Trap 1, with Elaina, Alex and Cameron already added to the squad, an optional scorekeeper who keeps score without shooting, and a Start Round button.

4. Make it a game

Shooting as a group? Add a game to the round and ClayTrack picks the winner from the scores you're already keeping — no side bets, just bragging rights. Choose Most in a Row for the longest streak of consecutive hits, a Handicap Match that auto-levels a mixed-ability squad so a newer shooter can genuinely win, or Skins, where each station is worth winning and ties carry over to the next. Standings update live as you shoot.

5. Score as you shoot

Trap uses a classic 25-bird scorecard — one tap per target, with station subtotals and a running total. Skeet has a dedicated 8-station card, and sporting clays and five stand use a station-by-station view where you add each presentation as you shoot it (Single, Report Pair, True Pair, Following Pair). Any logged-in shooter can score any row — including guests — and every change syncs live across all devices in a few seconds. No passing one card down the line. See how scoring works for each discipline for the full breakdown.

6. Complete the round

When the round's done, the owner completes it — totals lock, you get a clean ranked result for the whole squad, and the round saves to everyone's history automatically. No adding up boxes, no lost cards.

7. Track your progress

Your profile keeps your personal bests per discipline, rounds this month, running accuracy, and full round history — plus score trends over time and a station-by-station breakdown so you can see exactly where targets are getting away.

8. Stay connected with your squad

Connect with friends to see each other's completed rounds in an activity feed, give kudos to a great score, and compete on a friends leaderboard ranked by total score over the last 30 days. It turns a quiet practice session into a little friendly competition.
