Sporting clays does not fit a flat 25-box card, so ClayTrack scores it the way the sport is actually shot: station by station. At each station you add the presentation in front of you — a Single, a Report Pair, a True Pair, or a Following Pair — and tap each target hit or miss. Your course, not a fixed card

This is the part paper can't do. A trap card is always 25 boxes because trap is always 25 birds — but no two sporting clays courses are the same. One club runs 12 stations, the next runs 15, the menu at each stand changes when the course is reset, and you often don't know what a station throws until you're standing in it.

So ClayTrack doesn't ship you a pre-printed 100. You add each presentation as you shoot it, and the round's total is whatever the course actually was — a 60-target afternoon totals out of 60, not out of a 100 you never shot. Your percentage means something because the denominator is real.

Every presentation the sport throws

At each station you pick what's being thrown, and the card builds itself:

• Single — one target, one shot.
• Report pair — the second target launches at the sound of your shot at the first.
• True pair — both targets in the air at once.
• Following pair — both from the same trap, the second thrown right behind the first.

Five Stand too

Five Stand runs on the same engine — five fixed stands, the same presentation menu — so if you shoot a quick 5-Stand round while you're waiting for a squad, it lands in the same history as the full course, in the same shape. Trap and skeet get their own fixed cards: a 25-bird trap card and a real 8-station skeet card.

How many targets are in a round of sporting clays?

There is no fixed number — that is what makes sporting clays different from trap and skeet. Courses are commonly sold in 50 or 100 targets across roughly 10 to 15 stations, but the exact menu depends on the club and changes when the course is reset. ClayTrack doesn't assume: you add each presentation as you shoot it, and your round totals out of the course you actually shot rather than a number printed in advance.

Can I see where I'm losing targets?

Yes, and it's the reason to score digitally rather than on paper. Because each presentation is recorded at the station it was shot on, your history shows the station-by-station shape of a round instead of one number at the bottom. A 68 built from steady stations is a different problem from a 68 with two stands falling off, and only one of those tells you what to practise.
